The team of practitioners at Smith's has been drawn from a variety of backgrounds in the regulated financial markets in order to provide the skills and experience to assist clients with all aspects of their share ownership.
Nicholas Bull
Chairman
Nicholas is the chairman of the hotel group De Vere and a director of the investment trust Fidelity China Special Situations plc; he is also a Member of Council of the University of Exeter and a trustee of the Design Museum.
After qualifying as a chartered accountant, Nicholas spent 30 years as a corporate finance practitioner with Morgan Grenfell (subsequently Deutsche Bank), Société Générale and ABNAMRO working in London, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong. He then became chairman, in 2009, of Smith’s Corporate Advisory, which subsequently merged with Westhouse in 2011.
Dominic Palmer-Tomkinson
Director
Dominic joined Smith's in 2003 from the European sales desk at Cazenove. In 2006 he spent a year on secondment to Highland Gold as Head of Investor Relations. At Smith's, Dominic is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive and long term approach to investor marketing for corporate clients.
Ian Napier
Senior Adviser
Ian joined Smith's from Morgan Stanley's corporate broking team in 2008. He has focused on raising capital for emerging market opportunities and placing tailored investments with specialist private investors and European private wealth managers.
